According to Bein Sports Turkey, Turkish side Genclerbirligi have reached an agreement to sign Swansea City goalkeeper Kristoffer Nordfeldt.
As previously covered this month, the Ankara side have also been linked with a move for Burnley goalkeeper Joe Hart. Last week Genclerbirligi president Murat Cavcav confirmed they were in talks with Hart, but at the time he revealed they also had other options.
According to the latest developments they’ve now turned their attention to the Swansea City player and look close to signing him.
The Turkish club find themselves in a relegation battle and they want to strengthen in this window to avoid the drop from the Super Lig.
After joining the club from Dutch side Heerenveen, Nordfeldt has been on the books at Swansea City for the past four and a half years, making 47 appearances for the Welsh club.
This year he’s mainly been sat on the bench with Steve Cooper preferring Freddie Woodman ahead of him.
Nordfeldt’s contract with the Swans will expire at the end of this season.
