On May 30th, Sport reported Neymar has offered himself to Barcelona and this was also relayed by Mundo Deportivo earlier this month.
The Brazil international left the Camp Nou and made a switch to Paris Saint-Germain for a world record fee of €222m in 2017.
Two years later, the forward is unhappy with his life at Parc des Princes as ‘divorce PSG-Neymar’ is splashed on the front page of today’s edition of Sport.
Within the report, it’s once again mentioned the divorce between the South American and the Ligue 1 winners is complete and there’s a real possibility he could leave the club in the summer.
It’s claimed that last month, the forward had already communicated to his employer he has no desire to return to Paris and no motivation to start the new season with Thomas Tuchel’s side.
To convince the former Santos star to continue at PSG, the latter tried to offer him a better deal, but money no longer matters to the player.
Neymar is frustrated with his side’s European failures and wants to move to a better league.
He believes Barcelona is the best place to achieve this, which is why he’s dreaming of playing alongside Luis Suarez and Lionel Messi again.
Ernesto Valverde’s side are aware of all the movements in regards to the attacker, but they are proceeding with caution in order to avoid any confrontation with the French champions.
Barca are apparently aware the operation is complicated and will only try to make an approach for Neymar if PSG open the door for negotiation. That’s their condition, they’re not ready to go to war.
PSG are very interested in Philippe Coutinho and the former Liverpool star could be used as part of the deal for Neymar. However, there has been no movement so far in regards to the Camp Nou’s record signing.
