From France: Tottenham still interested in midfielder, a very reasonable €40m will complete deal

 

It seemed dead in the water, but France Football couldn’t bear the thought of that happening, so Jean-Michael Seri to Tottenham is back on, kinda.

Linked with a move to both Wembley and the Emirates at one stage, the Ivory Coast midfielder remains a Nice player for the time being.

The reason behind this is that negotiations between Roma and the Ligue 1 side have ‘gone cold’, meaning the Premier League is now the 26-year-old’s likeliest destination.

 

It all sounds very hypothetical, with France Football saying it ‘might’ happen, and that Tottenham are ‘among the interested clubs’.

With no news that things have changed, the situation to sign Seri remains the same: €40m and he’s yours.

One of the best midfielders in Ligue 1 last year, it’s actually quite surprising no one has decided to stump up the cash to sign him.

Maybe Tottenham will do so in the coming month or so? France Football certainly seem to hope so.
