Denis Suarez joined Arsenal on loan from Barcelona in January and the English club have an option to make the Spaniard’s loan deal permanent.
Since making a switch to the Emirates, the 25-year-old has made six appearances in all competitions and is yet to start a match for the Gunners.
Unai Emery’s side suffered a 1-0 defeat at Goodison Park and while his former teammates Andre Gomes and Lucas Digne played the full 90 minutes against the north London club, Suarez remained an unused substitute for his side.
He’s seen his Camp Nou struggles during the first half of the season continue at the Premier League club and, based on his performance for Arsenal, Tuesday’s edition of Mundo Deportivo claims the player is ‘the forgotten one’
During the last international break in March, the former Sevilla manager handed his compatriot a rare start in a friendly victory over Al-Nasr in Dubai.
Suarez was ‘praised for his technique’ in the friendly tie, but that was not sufficient for him to earn his first start for Arsenal.
He will have over a month to prove to convince Arsenal to take the option of making his loan move permanent. So far, there has been no signs suggesting the Gunners will exercise that option.
