Tottenham are among the ‘interested clubs’ in Red Bull Salzburg striker Benjamin Sesko amid his continued impressive displays.
The 18-year-old has been in fine form for the Austrian side this season, with seven goals and seven assists in 25 games to his name so far.
He’s continued to build after a two-year loan spell with FC Liefering in the 2.Bundesliga that saw him also impressing, particularly last season when he racked up 21 goals and six assists in 30 games in all competitions.
That’s the sort of form that hasn’t gone unnoticed, and back in January it was reported that Tottenham had made moves for him.
Journalist Gianluigi Longari reported that they were ‘considering’ the young striker, and although there was nothing advanced, enquiries had been made.
They also carry quotes from his current manager Matthias Jaissle, who insists the 18-year-old is a ‘dream’ of a player.
“I’ve also known him since the U18s,” he said.
“He is a very complete striker. You would dream of his assets as a coach: he is fast, tall, technically good.
“He has to bring his potential onto the pitch consistently. But he still has some time; he’s only been with us since summer.”
