While Nottingham Forest won’t go and trigger Carlos Miguel’s release clause at Corinthians, the player lives a very uncomfortable situation at the club.
Fans are mad at him because of the timing of his exit, and even though he’s eager to play until the transfer is done, it’s still turning into a big drama.
Carlos Miguel was a starter against Atlético-GO on Monday, and on UOL, journalist André Hernan shares some details about the decision.
The reporter claims the goalkeeper always made himself available, as the transfer to Nottingham Forest won’t change the respect he has for the club.

In the penultimate training session Matheus Donelli worked with the first team, but in the last training session Carlos Miguel worked the whole time with the first team. Training ended and António Oliveira said: ‘Carlos Miguel, you’re going to play’,” said Hernan.
The Brazilian media had already claimed that Nottingham Forest would take a while to trigger Carlos Miguel’s release clause. That has to do with Financial Fair Play, and it’s very possible they’ll only get that done in July, even though the amount is just €4m.
Fans are angry at the goalkeeper because in the past few months, he put on pressure to get a place in the team, in a situation which pushed club legend Cássio out of the club.
