Following this morning’s claims saying Chelsea are keen on signing Matias Vecino from Inter Milan, the Italian press has some new updates about the situation.
Website Calcio Mercato claims that the Blues have ‘reestabilished’ contract with the player’s agent Alessandro Lucci, who’s been recently spotted in London.
The website says that the talks have included the transfer of Davide Zappacosta, who Inter Milan are said to be interested in.
But the Blues’ chase for Vecino doesn’t depend on Zappacosta going the other way, as Calcio Mercato claims that the London side are attempting to sign the midfielder anyway.
Inter Milan are reportedly demanding between €25m and €30m for the 26-year-old, who’s currently playing the World Cup for Uruguay.
Vecino is another player who’s said to be a request from Maurizio Sarri, and since the manager is still to be announced by the Blues, we shouldn’t expect the transfer to be done so soon.
