As you will be strongly aware by now, there is a bit of a situation going on around the world, with games, leagues and events being cancelled due to the Covid-19 virus.

Among the latest developments has been the quarantine of Real Madrid players, which originally put the game against Manchester City in doubt.

The Premier League club have since announced the fixture’s postponement, which comes a few hours after Luka Jović, who reportedly shared a swimming pool with the Real Madrid basketball player diagnosed with the virus, told everyone he was feeling well and awaiting results.

He told B92: “Since being injured and not training for the last two to three days, I have used the same recovery pools as a corona-positive player. But I have no symptoms, I feel really good. We are awaiting the club’s decision”.

For now, as has been reported elsewhere, the club have decided to quarantine their players, which Jović confirmed to the outlet.

He continued: “We went to training this morning, but people from administration and said that we had no training or anything for the next two weeks. Everyone has to be in their houses and not leave Madrid”.

This would only have affected the Champions League, as La Liga announced on Thursday they would be suspending the competition, as well as the second division, for two game weeks until the end of the month.

Jović has struggled at Real Madrid since his move from Eintracht Frankfurt, scoring just twice and assisting another two goals in 24 appearances under Zinedine Zidane.
