Everton, Tottenham and West Ham United are among the clubs interested in Lecce midfielder Joan González.
That’s according to Gazzetta dello Sport, who say the 20-year-old is ‘in the sights’ of the English trio and Juventus.
They explain that the Serie A ‘revelation’ has been picking up interested parties over the last few months, having impressed at Lecce since being discarded by Barcelona. That’s a decision the Catalans have come to regret.
The Italian side have been rewarded for showing faith in the youngster, with him playing throughout this season and becoming one of the revelations of the side.
They have the player locked down until 2027 but that’s not stopped clubs from scouting him, with Juventus already sending people to watch his performances.
They’re behind the competition, though, as ‘above all’ the English sides, Everton, Tottenham and West Ham ‘have moved their scouts’ on the player.
Lecce value the player at €15m and are ‘already looking forward’ to the deal taking place.
Whether Everton, Tottenham or West Ham would pay that figure isn’t mentioned but it would be an easy one for them to meet.
It’s a situation to keep an eye on in the coming weeks, with the trio seemingly keen and watching González’s development ahead of a potential move for him.
