Everton have warned Barcelona that they will pull out of negotiations for defender Jean-Clair Todibo should their latest offer not be responded to in the coming days.
That’s according to Sport, who report the Blues have grown tired of Barcelona’s stalling tactics regarding the defender.
They explain that Everton have been negotiating for Todibo for some time and have already made ’several moves’ to try and get a deal over the line.
Their latest bid, which is €22m plus €3m in variables, will be their last, however, as they have grown tired of Barça stalling.
The Catalan club are aware that such a price represents a ‘significant amount’ for the Frenchman, but they are waiting to see how negotiations with other suitors, namely those in Italy, pan out before accepting Everton’s offer.
They believe that if potential deals with Inter Milan and Juventus ‘bear fruit’ they could obtain a ‘greater economic benefit’ than selling him to Everton.
The Blues are not happy about this, though, and have now sent an ‘ultimatum’ to the Camp Nou, warning that if they don’t receive an answer in the next few days, they will withdraw the offer and go elsewhere.
Thus, next week will be key to determining Todibo’s future at the club, with it seemingly ‘impossible’ that he remains in Spain.
