Everton player described as ‘crazy’, reckless stuff but perhaps predictable, 3/10

 

Ramiro Funes Mori is known in South America for the odd rash tackle and often having huge passion in his game. Whether it’s scoring crucial goals or chopping opponents in half, when it really means something to the Everton player it seems a fire is lit.

Therefore, Argentina playing Brazil was always going to provide the potential for a Funes Mori special. And when Argentine were losing 2-0 to their rivals, and Neymar helping to run the show, Funes Mori simply couldn’t help himself.

In a tackle described as a ‘crazy’, Funes Mori clearly makes little attempt to play the ball, instead taking Neymar, and then has the cheek to point to the ball.

He’ll have been relieved to see a yellow card.

Whilst the tackle may have impressed some Argentina fans, with the country well on the way to losing anyway, Funes Mori’s general performance didn’t go down well. Argentine newspaper Ole have rated him just 3 out 10, still, that was better than some teammates.
