As reported by Record, the Toffees attended Estádio do Dragão, where they saw Porto beating Roma in extra time and guaranteeing their place in the quarter finals.
Quite a few players have excelled in the Dragons’s 3-1 win. The main among them was Moussa Marega, who had a strong presence in attack, making the assist for the first goal and scoring the second.
Left-back Alex Telles, who scored the last goal by taking the penalty in extra time, and defensive midfielder Danilo both had great performances as well, and certainly caught the eyes of clubs officials there to scout.
Although Everton keep scouting many matches in Portugal, local outlets are still to find out what are the Toffees looking for. Yacine Brahimi, who’s recently been linked to the club, didn’t have a great match this time.
Everton are clearly planning ahead of the summer, and continue to pop up in Portugal.
Other clubs such as Manchester United, Manchester City, Leicester City, Watford, Juventus, Valencia and Borussia Dortmund have all scouted this game as well.
