Earlier in July, Sport Witness covered a claim from France that Everton had offered €3m for Marcel Tisserand, whereas French club Saint-Etienne had proposed €5m.
German club Ingolstadt were said to be looking at €8m for the DR Congo international, with the 24 year old defender on a contract until June 2020.
L’Equipe have it very differently on Saturday, with Everton not even being mentioned by the French newspaper. Instead, L’Equipe claim Watford have offered Ingolstadt €5m for Tisserand, but the player prefers Saint-Etienne.
Despite it being claimed at the time of the Everton report that Saint-Etienne had offered €5m, L’Equipe now saw the French club are still working towards that figure.
This one looks at least some way from being done, which gives hope to both Everton and Watford. However, Ronald Koeman and Marco Silva will need to apply pressure to their clubs to work quickly if Tisserand is a man they want in their squads.
