Napoli have ‘five or six’ alternatives to Victor Osimhen this summer, and one of them is Everton striker Moise Kean.
That’s according to Italian journalist Emanuele Cammaroto, who says the Blues forward is keen on the move should it be offered.
Napoli are currently trying to complete a big-money move for Osimhen, having been locked in negotiations with Lille and the player for several weeks.
However, the move hit the buffers this week with Osimhen’s decision to change agent causing complications in the deal.
That has led to speculation that he could go elsewhere, with Liverpool said to have revived their interest in a potential move.
Should Napoli end up missing out, they will have to find an alternative to the Nigerian and, according to Cammaroto, Everton’s Moise Kean is on their list.
“Giuntoli has five or six names on his notebook and among them is Kean of Everton and Vlahovic of Fiorentina,” he told Napoli Magazine.
“To reiterate that today the priority is still Osimhen, however, the next 48-72 hours will be decisive to understand if the deal will unlock or if Napoli will have to go for other attackers.
“For Moise Kean, Napoli already has a clear path. There is the player’s liking for Napoli, Gattuso considers him a strong and similar profile for technical characteristics as Osimhen.
“The agreement with Everton, with which Napoli is already negotiating the sale of Allan, would certainly be feasible.
“Only doubts on the character side of the player for the sometimes smoky behaviour but the talent is there, and all the blue staff likes him. It would be an operation in perfect Naples style.”
