Another day, another club linked to Simone Zaza.
After Crystal Palace in January, Wolfsburg since we can remember, West Ham before and after André Ayew’s injury, Southampton and Tottenham on Tuesday, it’s now Everton’s turn to be thrown into the mix.
It seems, however, that despite all this interest from England and Germany, the player would rather try and make a name for himself in Turin.
Nevertheless, Il Messaggero claim that Ronald Koeman’s club are after the former Sassuolo star, as well as Manolo Gabbiadini, currently contracted to Napoli.
The Gabbiadini interest has already been covered in detail in Gazzetta dello Sport, which we relayed earlier on Tuesday, but their counterparts from Rome suggest they are also in for Zaza, who could end also end up going to Napoli as Gabbiadini’s replacement.
It’s all very complicated to try and keep up with who actually wants Zaza, and it really does seem like the Italian press are just chucking Premier League names into the mix to drum up some kind of interest.
We’ll probably find out soon enough, but the striker seems like he’d prefer Juventus, and the Turin club haven’t exactly tried to push him out either.
He’ll just have to compete with Gonzalo Higuain, and Paulo Dybala, and Mario Mandzukic.
