Lille defender Gabriel Magalhães says he is aware of interest from the likes of Everton and is happy to see there is interest in his signature.
Magalhães has been heavily linked with a move to the Premier League this summer after his impressive performances for the Ligue 1 side.
Everton are those who have been linked the most, with it believed that Carlo Ancelotti has identified the Brazilian as the ideal signing to bolster his defence.
Indeed, a report at the end of the month indicated that the Blues have ‘everything in place’ to complete the signing of the 22-year-old.
He’s already commented on rumours of a move to Goodison Park and has now admitted he’s happy to see the stories about his future.
“I can see them, yes. Every day, my friends send me things: clubs, lots of clubs,” he told France Football.
“But I’m happy in Lille; I’m very, very happy at the club. I love this club. I don’t know what’s going to happen, but the objective is to bring LOSC back into the Champions League again.
“For the rest, I will let my agents and the club talk about it, but I am very happy here.”
It will certainly be interesting to see what happens with Gabriel this summer, with it looking unlikely he’ll stay at Lille.
Everton are undoubtedly keen on his signature, and he’d make a smart signing for them given his age, relatively low price and their need for another centre back.
If the likes of Chelsea and Arsenal are interested too, though, they may face a fight to convince him Goodison Park is his ideal next destination.
