Some possible transfers to Turkish clubs aren’t going materialise due to recent terror attacks across the country. AC Milan’s Jose Sosa doesn’t want to return to Turkey because of the security concerns, while Mario Gomez has told Besiktas he isn’t interested in a return, according to the Turkish press.
For Everton’s Oumar Niasse things are a little different. Trabzonspor are in a battle with rivals Besiktas to sign former Chelsea and Everton striker Samuel Eto’o from Antalyaspor and if this move fails, Trabzon’s fall back option is Everton’s Oumar Niasse reveals Fotomaç. The 26-year old will be happy to play in Turkey again and the newspaper claim a transfer to country is a real possibility.
Manager Ersun Yanal will be hoping the change the fortunes of the club around and he insists the club’s new striker must know the league, with Niasse therefore an ideal candidate.
The Everton outcast has also emerged as a target for Galatasaray and CSKA Moscow, according to Fotomaç.
Trabzonspor are trying to lower Everton’s asking of €8M and have informed Ronald Koeman’s club they’re likely to make a deal if the asking price is reduced to €6M.
Niasse’s desire to leave Everton will be a key factor in the deal, and surely also the Merseyside club’s willingness to see the back of him.
