Mohammed Amine Ihattaren continues to attract transfer attention, and Everton are again being mentioned as one of the clubs interested in the PSV 19 year old.
Marca have a report saying Barcelona ‘don’t take their eyes off’ the youngster, and he’s on the Catalan club’s agenda, as well as that of other ‘great clubs’ around Europe.
Inter Milan, Chelsea and Manchester City are also said to be interested, and, along with Everton, they all follow the player ‘very closely’.
The Toffees are said to be ‘most explicit’ with their interest, and that’s thanks to comments Marcel Brands made in February.
Speaking to the Dutch media, the director of football, who knows the player well from their time together at PSV, said: “Frankly, I’d like to have him at Everton tomorrow, he’s so good, but I don’t think that’s the path he should take. He will need an intermediate step later. In that respect, Mo is good at PSV. The club plays European football, he has a great chance of playing time and he is in the national teams.
“If he now went abroad, he has a lot less guarantees. The step to the Premier League is really big and it can also go wrong with a talent. Now he has a coach who sees it in him, I would say cherish that. The big money will then come naturally.”
Brands may change the stance of not moving for Ihattaren if other clubs progress with their own interest.
If he’s going to leave PSV anyway, then why not to Everton?
