Everton ‘have their eye’ on Valencia forward Goncalo Guedes this summer, and he could be available for as little as €15m.
That’s according to Calciomercato, who say that is the price that the Spanish side are ‘demanding’ for the 24-year-old to leave.
Guedes has had something of a difficult campaign for Valencia, with just five goals and assists in 31 games this season.
Those are not the sort of standards Guedes has set at the club, although a resurgence at the end of the season has shown there is still a player there.
Nonetheless, Valencia are desperate for cash, and as a result, Guedes has found himself at the top of the list of saleable assets.
Two days ago, Plaza Deportiva reported that had piqued Everton’s interest and they had ‘joined the bidding’ for the player, with Valencia needing at least €25m.
Calciomercato now back that up and state they have their eye on Guedes but say the fee would actually be €15m.
That’s obviously a big difference from the reports in Spain, although far more palatable as far as Everton are concerned.
We’d be more inclined to believe the Spanish report at this point, given Guedes plays for a Spanish club, but it seems the interest from the Toffees is definitely there regardless.
