Everton and Wolverhampton Wanderers are looking at Borussia Mönchengladbach’s Tim Kleindienst for the winter market.
That’s according to Bild, and they cover Everton and Wolves interest in the striker who has impressed for the Bundesliga side this season.
Gladbach took the striker from 1. FC Heidenheim in the summer, after he managed 14 goals and five assists from 35 games for the latter last season.
The Germany international’s displays for 1. FC Heidenheim convinced Gladbach to bet on him, and this has paid off as he managed nine goals and six assists from 17 matches this season.
Kleindienst’s form for Mönchengladbach ‘arouses interest’ from Everton and Wolves and the report adds the Premier League duo have asked for information about the frontman.
Sean Dyche’s side are 15th in the table, two points ahead of 17th placed Wolves, with a game in hand. Both are looking at the German, but his club are determined to hold on to the player beyond the January window.
Gladbach managing director Roland Virkus has stated there’s been requests and hasn’t made it clear whether it’s from Everton and Wolves for Kleindienst.
“Of course there are requests, that’s completely normal if you perform well. But we don’t want to let any of the top players go because something is happening here,” he said.
“We have stabilised and are now winning games that we would have lost in the previous season. But we are far from having reached the end of development!”
The German club are currently eighth in the table, trailing third placed Eintracht Frankfurt by three points.
