Napoli midfielder Allan has been filmed saying goodbye to the Italian club ahead of his proposed move to Everton.
The Brazilian midfielder is closing in on a switch to Goodison Park, with the Blues having finally agreed on a deal with the Italian side last week.
Reports in England have indicated he will be undergoing a medical today, with Everton determined to finalise a deal for him and Real Madrid’s James Rodriguez this week.
A move to Merseyside will bring an end to a five-year stay in Naples, with the midfielder having joined the club from Udinese in a £10m deal back in 2015.
And he has now said his goodbyes to his friends in the city, with CalcioNapoli 24 reporting that he held a ‘last Neapolitan dinner’ this week with ‘close friends’, including his Constantino Intemerato, in a well-known club in the Puteola area.
Allan is said to have ‘greeted everyone with tears’, with the website stating that he was scheduled to fly to Liverpool for his medical with Everton this morning.
Calcio Napoli 24 even have a video from the meal, in which Allan is quoted as saying, when asked about a message for the people of Naples: “Just one thing: thanks for everything.”
That would seem to suggest that a move is as imminent as the claims would suggest, with today looking like the day the nine-month saga may finally come to an end.
