On Tuesday, Wolverhampton Wanderers agreed a deal for the purchase of Estoril left-back Tote Gomes, according to claims from Portugal.

Newspaper Record is the one bringing the news today, saying the left-back has signed a five-year deal with the Premier League side.

The outlet doesn’t seem to know how much Wolves paid for the transfer, but they bring some interesting details on his short-term future.

The newspaper claims that Tote is being immediately loaned out to Swiss side Grasshopper Club Zürich, who ‘have strong links to the same investors of the English club’.

Tote is a left-back who can play in central defence as well. The 21-year-old has only made three appearances for Estoril’s first team so far, and that was apparently enough to draw attention from Wolverhampton Wanderers.

As you can see in the image attached, Record refers to the player as ‘Toti’, but most websites and news from Portugal all say he’s actually called ‘Tote’, so we went for the second option.
