Napoli midfielder Allan is getting ‘closer and closer’ to Everton, who are set to ‘indulge’ Aurelio de Laurentiis desire to get €30m for the Brazilian.
That’s what Tuttosport and Il Mattino report today, with the midfielder’s move seemingly edging ever closer after developments this week.
Allan has been linked with a move to Everton since January, with Carlo Ancelotti desperate to revive his midfield this summer.
The Blues have been in negotiations with Napoli over a transfer for several months, with the main sticking point having been De Laurentiis’ asking price.
However, this week has seen significant developments in the deal, with Everton being given a clear run for his signature after Allan made it clear he wants to move to Merseyside and reunite with Ancelotti ahead of moving elsewhere.
That declaration seemingly sped up talks between the two clubs, with claims yesterday that a deal could even be finalised by the weekend.
Il Mattino and Tuttosport cover the situation today and, while they are not as dramatic as the other reports this week, that is certainly the tone they take.
The Napoli based newspaper say that Allan is getting ‘closer and closer’ to Everton and Ancelotti ‘wants him strongly’.
Negotiations are ‘well underway’, and the expectation is that a deal will be struck for around €30m.
That’s a fee Tuttosport back up, stating that Everton are ‘about to indulge’ Napoli owner Aurelio de Laurentiis and pay the €30m fee he’s been looking for all along. That, though, does not include bonuses.
Either way, the news remains positive for Everton. They appear to be edging closer to getting this deal done and bringing one of the early transfer sagas of this summer to a close.
