Everton have been in contact with Adrien Rabiot’s mother, Veronique, to discuss a possible move this summer.
That’s according to Gazzetta Dello Sport, who say the midfielder is edging closer to leaving Juve this summer after a disappointing first year at the club.
The Frenchman arrived on a free transfer from Paris Saint Germain last summer but has struggled to impress at the Italian giants under Maurizio Sarri.
Gazzetta say he was ‘expecting more’ from his time at the club and so his mother Veronique, who acts as his agent, has been in contact with other clubs about a move in recent weeks.
One of these clubs is Everton, who are considered an ‘ally’ as manager Carlo Ancelotti has a good relationship with the player from their time together at PSG.
So far, there have been no ‘deeper insights’ than talks between both parties, but it is not the first time Everton have been linked.
They were named as suitors throughout January, with reports claiming that Ancelotti was willing to spend whatever was necessary to add Rabiot to his squad.
Ultimately that never happened but these latest talks and Rabiot’s seemingly increasing desire to move on could open the door for him to get his man this summer instead.
