Memphis Depay spent 18 months at Manchester United before moving to Lyon in January 2017. During his time in England, the forward struggled to impress for the Red Devils.
Things have been different for him since the move as the 25-year-old now has been a key member of the Ligue 1 side’s attack, scoring 50 goals and registering 32 assists in all competitions.
His performances for the French club have seen him being linked with Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool.
Calciomercato has a report with a headline ‘Lyon: English sirens for Depay’ and then provides a short update, stating Spurs and the Champions League winners ‘like’ the Netherlands international.
Depay has been largely used as a centre forward at Lyon this season, but can also operate on the left wing. His contract with his current employer runs down in 2021.
The Dutchman’s versatility could suit the Reds, but he would struggle to find a place in Liverpool’s starting lineup.
A move to Tottenham would see Depay fight with Heung-min Son for a place on the left side of the attack.
