Fotospor report Besiktas have stepped up in their pursuit for Arsenal winger Reiss Nelson.
The Turkish side are in the market for wingers as they prepare to face PAOK in the Champions League qualifiers, and Fotospor claim Nelson is a primary target for the club.
It’s claimed the Black Eagles are also interested in former Arsenal striker Chuba Akpom, who’s currently playing for PAOK, but Fotospor say their main target at this stage of the window is the Gunner’s youngster.
Sergen Yalcin’s side are likely to target a loan move, and it’s reported the Besiktas board will do everything they can in order to sign the player.
Nelson had a loan spell at Bundesliga with Hoffenheim during the 2018/19 season, where he scored seven goals. Last season the 20 year old made 17 Premier League appearances for the north London side, scoring one goal.
However, he may again need to go out of loan to get regular first team football.
His contract at the Emirates will expire at the end of June 2023.
