It’s the Italian media who today talks about Liverpool’s interest in Willian Pacho.

Journalist Gianluca Di Marzio claims that the Reds have the Eintracht Frankfurt player as their ‘priority’ for defence this summer.

It’s said that Liverpool are not only looking for a manager to replace Jurgen Klopp, but Michael Edwards is also ‘already working’ to strengthen the squad.

The club’s intention is to sign a left-footed central defender, and Pacho was reportedly identified as the ‘right profile’.

For now, there’s no information on whether Liverpool have already placed a bid to sign the 22-year-old.

Pacho has barely arrived at Frankfurt, as it was last summer that the Bundesliga side spent €9m to sign him from Royal Antwerp.

His market value only went up since then, with Transfermarkt having it at €30m, and it remains to be seen how much the German club will actually demand for his sale.

Liverpool have been linked to Pacho since January, and reports from the German media already claimed that it could take between €50m and €60m to take him to England this summer.
