On transfer deadline day, Crystal Palace reached an agreement with Chelsea to take Michy Batshuayi on loan until the end of the season.

The Belgium international was not included in Maurizio Sarri’s plans for this campaign, which is why he joined Valencia on a season-long loan deal last August.

During his time with the Spanish club, the forward made 23 appearances in all competitions and scored one goal each in the league, the Champions League and the Copa del Rey.

His loan deal was cut short by Valencia, which has now allowed him to join Palace.

Deporte Valenciano claims the La Liga outfit are delighted to have parted ways with one of the ‘worst signings’ in their recent history.

They are certain that he deserves the tag due to his ‘misfortunes’ and also many other issues because the expectation was way too high when Batshuayi arrived at Valencia.

He was part of the Belgium squad for the 2018 World Cup and when the attacker joined Los Che, it’s claimed he was overweight and not in shape.

Deporte Valenciano says Batshuayi was a ‘disaster of a signing’ for Valencia, the worst in their recent history, because he wasn’t a success on the pitch and lacked commitment off it.

The player will be hoping things can be different for him at Crystal Palace.
