There was a time when David Luiz was really untouchable at the Brazilian National Team.
Around the 2014 World Cup, the defender kind of became a national hero due to his charisma, and that was exactly the time when people believed he was better than he actually was.
Needless to say, the Brazilian team had the biggest tragedy of their history in that year, and that’s when David Luiz became a bit fo a joke, being forced to prove himself once again when wearing the yellow shirt.
Now it seems he’s failed to do that, because as wriitten by the local press this Monday, it’s very likely that the Chelsea player will have to watch the World Cup from home.
This means that this season was totally different from the one before, when he won the Premier League title. This year, with so few starts, David Luiz is actually a ‘card out of Tite’s deck’, as he still needs to convince the manager that he deserved a place in the squad.
The blog even puts the defender’s future in doubt, showing a few clubs who the European press have been linking to the Chelsea player.
And his World Cup should really be watched ‘from his sofa’.
