Juventus technical director Cristiano Giuntoli has flown to England so he can ‘personally’ verify and deal with interest in Matias Soulé, reports Gazzetta dello Sport.
Newcastle United and Crystal Palace are both thought to be very keen on the Juventus youngster, and Giuntoli is in turn very keen on making as much money from a deal as possible.
The Premier League is seen as the best place for Juve to sell to, and Newcastle obviously hold an extra financial attraction since their Saudi PIF takeover.
Matias Soulé is the latest asset Juve want to use.
The 20-year-old versatile player is on loan at Frosinone for the season, but is owned by Juventus. The Turin club see him as a way of getting cash through the door without losing anyone from their current squad.
He’s scored six goals and contributed an assist in 12 Serie A matches so far this season, and that’s why there’s interest.
One to keep an eye on for Newcastle United fans, but at this stage it feels more like Juventus working to sell than the Magpies working to buy.
