Fanatik have reported on the latest developments with regards to Fenerbahce looking to sign Rangers forward Alfredo Morelos.
Yesterday, we covered reports from the Turkish press that Fenerbahce are looking to offer Martin Skrtel plus money for Morelos. Skrtel has this summer been linked with a reunion with his former Liverpool teammate Steven Gerrard.
The Yellow Canaries recently appointed Damien Comolli as their new sporting director and the Frenchman is hoping to make Morelos his first signing.
According to Fanatik, Comolli isn’t looking to be aggressive in his aim to sign the Colombian striker due to the Turkish club’s financial situation.
However, it’s stated Rangers rejected a €7m offer from China in the last window and subsequently this approach form Comolli is unlikely to work. It’s also reported Rangers boss Gerrard will not want to lose a key player going into the new season.
Talks are now expected to take place after reports the Turkish giants will travel to Scotland.
Morelos made 43 appearances for Rangers last season scoring 18 goals. The forward still has two years left on his current contract.
