According to a claim in the Turkish media, Fenerbahce are still interested in signing Rangers forward Alfredo Morelos.

The Rangers star has been linked with Fenerbahce in recent weeks, and the Turkish media believe, or hope, he could leave Ibrox this summer.

Yeniakit report this morning that Morelos is still on the agenda for the Turkish giants as their search for a forward continues. With Vincent Janssen returning to Tottenham the Yellow Canaries want to address their attacking options this summer.

Rangers manager Steven Gerrard will not want to lose a key player like Morelos, so Fenerbahce are looking to tempt the former Liverpool star by offering Martin Skrtel plus cash.

Skrtel has been linked with a move to Ibrox in recent weeks and a possible reunion with Gerrard. However, even if Rangers surprised everyone and agreed, a stumbling block could be the Slovakian’s wages, with claims he’s currently earning €4m a season after tax.

The former Liverpool player’s agent recently talked down a move to Rangers because of that.

It’s expected in Turkey that Fenerbahce will travel to Glasgow to hold talks with Rangers.
