Celtic are one of the clubs in the picture to sign Hammarby Fotboll star Bazoumana Touré and Brendan Rodgers’ side have been chasing him for a while.
Last August, Fotboll Direkt reported Celtic had sent an official to Sweden to take a closer look at the winger live in action.
A month later, we covered claims from Sweden which stated Celtic are seriously interested in the 18-year-old and could pay €10m for him in January. Three months ago, Fotboll Direkt reported the Scottish champions have to be wary of competition from other clubs.
Hammarby sporting director Mikael Hjelmberg has been speaking to Fotbollskanalen on various topics including the latest claims about Celtic.
Earlier this week, claims from elsewhere stated Brendan Rodgers’ side are preparing an offer to sign the Ivorian young star. The Swedish club’s official states he’s aware of this claim but insists they haven’t received any offer from Celtic so far.
“No there is nothing there. I read today that Celtic were going to make a bid… it sounded exciting. But nothing has reached me,” he said.
Hjelmberg then stated the youngster hasn’t received any offers in the winter market.
Touré joined Hammarby from Ivorian side ASEC Mimosas in March 2024 and scored nine goals and registered four assists from 24 games last year.
