As we’ve been covering recently, Tiago Pinto is on his way to Bournemouth to become the club’s director of football, or another similarly named role.

The Portuguese talent recruiter had previously worked at AS Roma, alongside his compatriot Jose Mourinho. When the latter left, it was clear that Pinto would be following and that’s what happened.

Now he’s set to be give an opportunity in the Premier League, and Corriere dello Sport are nothing short of bitter about it all.

The Italian newspaper say Pinto ‘did almost everything wrong’ whilst at the Serie A club, and committed ‘many mistakes’ which harmed Roma.

Unsurprisingly, Pinto is dubbed a ‘flop’ and there’s an insinuation he’s only getting the Bournemouth job because he tried to do business with them whilst at Roma, business which wouldn’t have been good for the Italian club.

This is all so bitter and personal that it’s hard really to take anything from it other than someone at Corriere dello Sport very much doesn’t like Tiago Pinto.
