Over the past few weeks, we’ve been covering some stories highlighting that Rangers alone Ianis Hagi is having a hard time at Alavés, where he was sent prior to Philippe Clement taking over at Ibrox.
The midfielder had played regularly when he first arrived in Spain, but since the start of 2024, he’s been rarely getting used at his new club.
Now following Alavés’ 1-1 draw against Osasuna, Noticias de Alava brings the ratings for each player, and the Rangers man didn’t do very well.
Hagi was brought on at the end of the game, and as described by the outlet, couldn’t do much to change the result.
Since arriving at Alavés from Rangers, the midfielder has 21 appearances, with two goals and one assist, but has only taken part in three La Liga games this calendar, coming on for just a few minutes at the end of those matches.
Recent claims from Romania made it clear that unless this situation changes, he could be set to miss out on the squad which will play the Euros this summer.
That’s all bad news for Rangers, who will be getting him back at the end of the season and will probably have to find a new solution for him, all depending on what Clement wants to do with him.
