Although Fulham’s chase for Grégoire Defrel can be seen in several Italian outlets this Wednesday, there are different versions of the story.
Earlier today, we covered claims from Gazzetta Dello Sport saying the Whites would negotiate a January move directly with Roma.
That would result in the cancellation of his loan spell at Sampdoria, which was supposed to run until the end of the season.
However, Tuttosport’s story claims that Fulham, who are read to spend €20m on the striker, could sign him directly from Sampdoria.
Speaking of players who could mean some profit for Roma, they say director Monchi is ready to accept the €14m that Sampdoria would pay to land him on a permanent transfer.
Then Sampdoria would sell him to the Premier League, which is obviously an intelligent move to make some millions without much work to be done.
Tuttosport adds that Brighton are also interested in the Frenchman, although it’s clearly Fulham who are highlighted in the story.
