Two days ago, we carried a report from Sport, who claimed that Malcom has offers from Arsenal, AC Milan and Chinese club Guangzhou Evergrande to leave Barcelona in January.
It was explained that the winger turned down the opportunity to move to China as he preferred to join the Gunners over other options.
Journalist Miguel Rico brings an update about the Brazilian, on the last page today’s edition of Catalan newspaper Mundo Deportivo, and claims has been ‘interest’ from Arsenal and Guangzhou Evergrande in the past two months.
He explains that nothing has been finalised yet for the former Bordeaux man to leave in the mid-season transfer window and Denis Suarez’s impending move to the Emirates will prevent Ernesto Valvere’s side from reaching an agreement with another club for Malcom.
For now, Malcom will stay at Barcelona but this is only until the end of the season because his status as ‘transferable’ has not changed so far.
Arsenal, if they’re as keen as presented, can try again in the summer.
