At the weekend, we covered a very optimistic story from A Bola saying Moussa Marega should be heading to West Ham United.

The article claimed that ‘according to information already received by the footballer himself, the next stage of the career will be played in English territory and particularly at West Ham.’

But it turns out that another Portuguese newspaper, Record, doesn’t really believe Marega will be moving to England so soon. They bring a story today saying it’s the player’s dream to make the transfer, but there aren’t any clubs who are interested in signing him for now.

It’s claimed that in these first months of the market, the approaches made for him haven’t been turned into bids, and that obviously won’t be enough to take him out of Porto.

Still, there’s a ‘conviction’ from the player that things will be changing in the next few weeks, and he will finally get an offer to play in the Premier League.

Although West Ham have been the club getting most links to Marega, Record doesn’t name any possible destination for the striker this time.

It’s claimed that he’s protected by a €35m release clause, and he would only pick an offer outside of the Premier League in case it’s from a ‘big European shark’, which sounds highly unlikely.
