If the Italian press are to believed, English clubs are continually chasing after the Director of Sport at top Serie A clubs.
Often, maybe always, it feels like PR for the man in question, and a fluffing of Italian football’s feathers.
On Thursday, Calciomercato bring Tottenham and Daniel Levy into the equation, and present a chase for Fabio Paratici, Juventus’ man guiding transfers and general football matters.
Levy is said to have been a fan of Paratici for years, perhaps impressed by the free and value signings Juventus have a good knack of getting.
Tottenham are reported to have offered Paratici the ‘keys to the market’ to oversee their transfers, but the Italian is happy at Juventus and isn’t interested in taking up the Spurs offer.
It would be no surprise if this is again an effort to show how good an Italian DoS is, but Paratici has clearly been doing a good job for Juventus. If Tottenham are interested in a man for the role it would be conceivable they’d consider the Juve man.
