Earlier today, we covered news from Gazzetta Dello Sport which didn’t really believe that Chelsea had placed a bid for Roma fullback Emerson Palmieri.

Their story labelled the offer as ‘fake news’, as all that happened so far was a little chat between the Blues and the Italian club.

But it seems that Palmieri’s agent isn’t keen on keeping this story on low profile, because today he’s spoken out about the player’s ‘dream’ to join the Stamford Bridge side and play under Antonio Conte.

Fernando Garcia has given an interview to website Calcio Mercato especially about the rumours surrounding the Brazilian, and confirmed that there are talks happening right now.

“There’s still nothing certain, we are in a stage of discussion and evaluations,” Garcia told Calcio Mercato.

Asked if the move is a real possibility, the agent said: “Of course yes, absolutely, the two clubs are now talking, we’ll see if it will be successful.”

It’s worth recalling that this is not the only deal with a London club that the agent should be working on. He also represents the Bordeaux forward Malcom, who according to several media outlets, has been in negotiations to join Arsenal.

Maybe that’s why the agent has ruled out going to Roma to speak to club and player: “I have no plans to come to Italy, at least immediately, we are waiting.”

Finally asked if Emerson has the wish to play under Antonio Conte, the representative said: “Obviously yes, it would be a dream: Conte is a top manager, one of the best and most successful in the world.”
