Gonçalo Guedes, Victor Lindelof, Alex Grimaldo and Eduardo Salvio. These are the four Benfica players who Liverpool are keeping an eye on, according to several reports over the weekend.
The claim is in the Monday edition of A Bola, who credit the British press for claiming it. But are the Reds really interested specifically in these four aces?
It all started when journalist Tom Kundert released a picture on Twitter revealing all the clubs who sent scouts to the Champions League tie between Benfica and Besiktas last week.

Eleven English clubs were included, and The Mirror made an article explaining who were Benfica’s biggest stars, speculating who the Premier League sides could be interested in.
However, over the weekend, some websites took the exact same four players and started saying they were Liverpool targets.
Unless the Liverpool directors look for signings on The Mirror’s website, we find it unlikely that the club’s scouting list is exact the same as the one from the story.
Since the Reds officials were present at Estádio da Luz, it’s very possible that they’re interested in one or two of them, as these are Benfica’s most promising players.
