Crystal Palace are ‘unsympathetic’ towards Vincent Guaita despite his decision to try and force a move away from Selhurst Park.
That’s according to Super Deporte, who say that if the player is to leave then it will be up to him and suitors, such as Valencia, to work out a deal that satisfies Crystal Palace.
Palace boss Roy Hodgson revealed last night that the 36-year-old goalkeeper had decided to try and force a departure from Selhurst Park this summer, insisting he would not play for the club from here on out.
Valencia are one of several sides in Spain to have been linked with a potential move, but Super Deporte say they and those other suitors will need to work out a deal with Crystal Palace.
According to them, the Eagles are ‘not too sympathetic’ to Guaita’s demands at this moment in time and any club that wants him will have to pay ‘a small transfer fee’ or negotiate a deal with Guaita for a release that leaves ‘both parties satisfied’.
The belief is that Crystal Palace ‘will be forced to negotiate downwards’ eventually to reach a separation but there’s no intention from those in charge to be bullied or do the legwork themselves.
In the meantime, Guaita has ‘allowed himself to be loved’ by Valencia on social media, with them an option for him if Giorgi Mamardashvili departs in the coming weeks.
