La Voz de Galicia remain confident on the prospect of their local club signing Jairo Riedewald from Crystal Palace during the current transfer window.
For several days it’s been reported in Spain that a deal is closing in, with things seemingly going smoothly with all involved.
On Wednesday it was reported the Dutchman has already given his approval to a move. Not only that, but completely agreed terms with Celta Vigo, although there was no further explanation on what that meant.
Should the defender be moving on a loan deal it’s usually just a case of the club agreeing to cover his wages, rather than negotiating directly on wages with the player.
La Voz de Galicia reiterate it’s just the fringes of a deal which need to be sorted out before the deal is complete. They say Celta Vigo are working on the transfer with ‘greater intensity’ and it’s ‘pending’ being closed.
Once again there’s no explanation whether this is a loan move or a permanent transfer.
It’s possible Riedewald will be moving with an option to purchase, that would explain the delay, as the deal would be more complicated, and it would also explain him agreeing personal terms.
Crystal Palace need to give the go ahead before the player can travel for medical and final details.
