Crystal Palace have reignited their interest in Fenerbahce star Ozan Tufan with a €10m bid for the midfielder.
That’s according to Sabah Sport journalist Volkan Demir, who provides information on Palace’s move for Tufan today.
Demir reports that Crystal Palace were keen on Tufan in the summer transfer window and made an approach for him then with an unspecified bid.
This ‘did not get any results’ but their interest has not gone away, and they have now returned with a higher offer of €10m to try and sign him this month.
Fenerbahce’s management are yet to respond to the offer, but president Ali Koç, sports director Emre Belözoğlu and manager Erol Bulut are set to hold a meeting following the clash with BB Erzurumspor.
That game is scheduled for January 11th, meaning Crystal Palace will be made to wait before the Turkish giants decide what to do about their offer.
No hint of their stance on Tufan is given, although it’s easy to assume they would be loathed to lose a player who has four goals and three assists in 16 games in all competitions so far.
