Antonio Conte’s arrival at Tottenham Hotspur last week has not changed the north London club’s plans for Dušan Vlahović.
The Fiorentina star continues to be a target for the Premier League side, and on Monday La Nazione reported that Spurs are now in the ‘front row’ to sign the striker.
According to Alfredo Pedullà, ‘it is not so obvious’ he will leave the Serie A side in the winter market, even though he has decided against signing an extension.
La Viola are asking between €60m and €70m in January and the price will drop by €10m next summer.
Juventus like him, but Fiorentina chairman Rocco Commisso prefers to sell him abroad since clubs in England are keen.
Arsenal were named as a new suitor, but the website states there has been no contact between the Gunners and the Italian club.
However, talks have taken place with Tottenham and Fiorentina. The ex-Chelsea manager likes the Serbian a lot and has ‘already talked about him to [Fabio] Paratici’, indicating there’s some action behind the scenes. Therefore, Spurs are ‘to be taken into very serious consideration’ as a candidate to sign Vlahović.
Fiorentina will sell Vlahović either in January or next summer. Tottenham are one of the main suitors and it’ll be interesting to see where the player will end up next.
