Galatasaray are set to make a move to sign Donny van de Beek from Manchester United, according to reports from Turkey.
Sporx today writes that in a few days, there will be a meeting in Istanbul to discuss the transfer.
That will happen when Manchester United fly to Turkey to play Galatasaray in the Champions League on the 29th of November.
It’s said that before the match, ‘contact will be established’ and the clubs will speak about the move.
The Istanbul side believe van de Beek to be a ‘low cost’ option for the January transfer window, and shall try to convince him he will have more playing time there.
The Dutchman only has 21 minutes on the pitch this season, being used by Erik ten Hag in only two matches.
Manchester United spent €39m to get him signed from Ajax back in the summer of 2020, and now Transfermarkt only value him at €10m.
It remains to be seen whether Galatasaray will try to get him signed on a loan deal or a permanent move. Either way, the Red Devils aren’t expected to make some big money with his departure.
