Crystal Palace have reportedly made first contact for the signing of Colombian striker Rafael Santos Borré, according to the South American media today.

Covering claims from ESPN (which we assume refers to the company’s TV in South America), Marca Claro writes that the Premier League side have contacted the 23 year old’s entourage to know the conditions of a possible deal.

Marca adds that River Plate recently spent around €7m to buy 100% of the player’s registration, as they only had a percentage, and now have protected him with a €30m release clause.

The outcome of Crystal Palace’s conversations with the entourage seems to be unknown for now, as that’s all Marca, or ESPN, has to say.

Borré has seven goals in 21 appearances for River Plate this season, and is tied with a contract which runs until 2021.

The striker already has some experience in European football after his time at Valencia and Atletico Madrid, where he struggled a little with his adaptation.
