Monday has been a rather busy day when it comes to rumours involving Chelsea and a potential exit of Romelu Lukaku this summer.

We first covered claims in the Italian media that the Belgian wanted out with guarantees he wouldn’t have to return to Stamford Bridge, before Italian journalist Fabrizio Biasin added a meeting between the lawyer representing the player and Inter was set to take place on Tuesday.

Well, we now have a bit more detail, at least when it comes to the numbers of a potential deal involving the Chelsea striker, this time from Italian journalist Rudy Galetti.

The reporter took to Twitter to give his information, which consisted of the ‘framework’ being put together by Inter to secure their former striker’s services once more.

He explained, as expected, that it would be a loan, with ‘about €15m’ paid up front, with a purchase option of between €50-60m.

That would take the full deal to around €65-75m, with a wages of €7m post tax waiting for him at San Siro.

One condition, which was already pointed out in the big article from Gazzetta dello Sport and Corriere dello Sport, is that any transfer would need to be sorted out ‘by the end of June’.

All in all, Galletti points out the negotiation is ‘still difficult, but the parties will try to find a solution’.
