Earlier today we covered claims from Marca that Real Sociedad are the latest club to be keen on signing Sandro Ramirez from Everton.
Celta Vigo appeared to have dropped away from the potential transfer, and La Real had kicked off talks for the former Barcelona man.
Mundo Deportivo now back that up, and this story is quickly building to one which seems to have weight behind it.
Real Sociedad are working ‘against the clock’ to sign Sandro, and it’s claimed Valencia and Espanyol are also interested in the Everton player. Those clubs have been linked previously, especially Valencia, with nothing ever getting serious.
The striker is said to earn €5m a season, and Mundo Deportivo say such an amount, which may even be after tax, is ‘prohibitive’ for Real Sociedad.
Therefore, it would have to be agreed what percentage each club pay. Yes, Mundo believe Everton will have to continue paying Sandro, which sounds slightly unreasonable given he could take a pay cut.
When Sandro moved to Sevilla on loan last season, he was very happy to continually talk himself and goalscoring powers up, and make it clear he had no intention of returning to Everton.
A grand total of 0 (zero) goals followed and he returned with his tail between his legs, but not quite shamed enough to take a pay cut.
