CF América are willing to let reported Everton target Jorge Sanchez leave the club this summer but will only sanction a permanent exit for him.
That’s according to journalist Rubén Rodríguez, who covers the situation around the young Mexican and several of his fellow Olympics stars this summer.
Everton have been named as suitors for the young right-back, with several reports, including one today, stating that they are keeping an eye on him.
The Blues are on the hunt for a new right-back this summer, and it’s felt the 23-year-old could be a cheaper alternative to PSV Eindhoven’s Denzel Dumfries.
They’re yet to do anything but observe Sanchez, but according to Rodríguez, if they make a move, they will find his club more than accommodating.
He says that Sanchez, and several other Mexico stars, are likely to end up in the Old Continent this summer, but the issues is the same as always ‘the conditions’ that Mexican clubs set for deals to happen.
For many of those clubs, it is seen as a ‘business opportunity’, and because in today’s football, nobody gives anything away, they want to make as much as they can.
While they’re aware that the Mexican league is not very competitive and doesn’t gain much traction, they will not sell cheap.
That’s because they know their players, such as Sanchez, have great ‘future projection’ as well as other things such as being the right age, long-term contracts and national team appearances.
Those all work in their favour and end up ‘scaring or scaring away’ suitors from any possible negotiations, even if, in the case of Sanchez, CF América only want $10m.
The players, for their part, are ‘crying out’ to return to Europe and get the professional growth and international exposure that they want and need.
Their club’s demands stand in their way, though, which could end up being a problem for Everton if they make a firm move for Sanchez this summer.
